Advisory Services

Consulting is the firm's primary work.

Three service lines, one method. Understand the decision, establish what is actually known, build the instrument that lets the client decide, and hand over something their own people can maintain after the engagement closes.

Line 01

AI Adoption and Governance

Most organizations already have artificial intelligence in the building. Very few have decided what it is allowed to do, who is accountable when it is wrong, or what happens to the data it touches. That gap is a governance problem before it is a technology problem.

Custom AI Reasoning Systems

Rather than delivering a prompt library, we build a reasoning architecture around the client's actual work: their documents, their decision points, their vocabulary, their review standards. The output is a system their staff can use and extend, with the design rationale documented so it survives turnover.

AI Use Policy

A written policy calibrated to the organization's regulatory posture and risk tolerance, covering permitted and prohibited uses, data handling, disclosure, human review requirements, and vendor evaluation. Drafted to be enforceable rather than aspirational.

Staff Training and Curriculum

Curriculum development and live delivery for professional staff, built around the tasks people actually perform. Training covers both capability and failure modes, because a workforce that cannot recognize a bad output is a liability regardless of how well it prompts.

Exposure and Compliance Assessment

Assessment of the AI tools already present in an environment, what data they receive, what the terms of service permit the vendor to do with it, and where that conflicts with the organization's regulatory or contractual obligations.

Line 02

Technology and Product Strategy

Software companies with a genuinely useful product routinely fail to reach government and regulated buyers, not because the product is wrong but because nobody on the team speaks the buyer's language or understands how that buyer is permitted to purchase.

Language Model Integration

Advisory support for integrating large language models into an existing product: where the capability creates real value, where it introduces liability, what the evaluation and guardrail architecture needs to look like, and how to describe it honestly to customers.

Federal and Public Sector Market Entry

Positioning, capability narrative, and sequencing for firms entering government and public sector markets. Includes translation of commercial capability into the terms a program office recognizes, and realistic assessment of the timeline and cost of that entry.

Security and Privacy Review

Independent review of platforms handling sensitive data, covering access control, data flow, retention, third party exposure, and the gap between what the marketing claims and what the architecture supports.

Technical Narrative and Documentation

White papers, capability statements, architecture documentation, and decision memoranda written for a specific audience, whether that audience is a board, a program office, a regulator, or a technical partner.

Line 03

Counterintelligence and National Security Advisory

Counterintelligence is fundamentally about people: who has access, what they are exposed to, and what an adversary would want from them. Commercial organizations face a version of that problem whether or not they use the vocabulary.

Insider Risk Program Design

Design or assessment of insider risk programs, including indicator frameworks, referral and adjudication process, privacy and civil liberties safeguards, and the organizational placement questions that determine whether such a program is trusted or resented.

Data Privacy and Operational Security

Practical operational security for individuals and organizations whose work creates exposure, including personal data reduction, communications posture, travel considerations, and the tooling that supports each.

Strategic Competition and Technology Policy

Analysis of strategic competition, authoritarian influence, technology transfer, and export control dynamics, developed from open sources and written for decision makers rather than specialists.

Research Products and Frameworks

Commissioned white papers, analytic frameworks, threat assessments, and decision support material. Every claim is cited, and documented fact is kept visibly separate from projection.

Method

How an engagement runs

The sequence rarely changes. What changes is how long each step takes and how much of it the client's own team carries.

  1. Scoping conversation

Thirty to sixty minutes, at no cost. The purpose is to establish what decision is actually in front of you and whether this firm is the right instrument for it. Some of these conversations end with a referral elsewhere.

  2. Written proposal

A defined scope, deliverable list, timeline, and fixed price. Modular where it makes sense, so a client can start with a core engagement and add components once the value is demonstrated rather than committing to everything at once.

  3. Discovery

Document review, interviews, and environment assessment. This is where the original framing of the problem usually gets revised, and where a client learns things about their own organization that are worth the engagement on their own.

  4. Development and review

Drafts delivered in stages rather than as a single reveal at the end. The client sees the reasoning while it is still changeable, which is the only point at which their input can actually improve the product.

  5. Delivery and handover

Final products, a walkthrough with the people who will own them, and whatever training the handover requires. The test of a good engagement is whether the client's team can maintain the result without calling back.

Structures

Engagement types

Defined Project
A fixed scope with a fixed price and a delivery date. Policy development, an assessment, a white paper, a training curriculum.
Modular Engagement
A core engagement with optional add-on components, priced separately, so scope can grow with demonstrated value.
Retainer
Ongoing advisory access for organizations that need judgment available rather than a discrete product.
Subcontract and Teaming
Specialist support to prime contractors and consultancies requiring counterintelligence, AI governance, or national security depth.
Engagement

The first conversation costs nothing.

Describe the decision you are facing and what you have tried. If the firm is not the right fit, you will be told so directly.
